Oorjaa x Traverse Mumbai
Continuum At the heart of this collection is the torus—a form symbolizing a perpetual circularity of matter and energy.
For us at Oorjaa, we like to keep this at the centre of our design process. Each piece here captures the fluid transition from one material to another, all waste being put back into the cycle.
Using handmade paper crafted from waste banana fiber, faux concrete from quarry waste, and copper wire reclaimed from industrial waste streams, these materials, each with a unique origin and purpose, come together into new formations that symbolize movement and renewal.
Part of the Continuum collection, Dualis features twin torus forms crafted from handmade banana paper and reclaimed copper wire. The pieces explores the balance between natural and industrial materials, inviting reflection on the relationship between the natural world and the manmade. What lies beyond?
